Summary


Every once in a while a group of citizens will rise to protest a worthy issue. It's often a David vs. Goliath event that sparks emotions and courageous action. Such was the case at the steps of the San Bernardino County Government Center on Sept. 1.

The League of United Latin American Citizens, also known as LULAC, a well-known advocacy group for Latino issues, stood toe-to- toe with the giant county Board of Supervisors and demanded that the Voter Rights Act be obeyed in the process of drawing new lines for supervisor seats.
