HIGHLAND - A majority of residents would pay higher taxes to support additional public safety services, according to a new public opinion survey.
Godbe Research polled 500 likely voters in the city to gauge whether they would back a tax to increase police, fire and paramedic services. Seventy percent of respondents said they favored a $50 annual property tax increase per dwelling unit for the services.
