During one of the many mercy missions to Mexico that J. Frank Sorenson participated in, he was asked to bring a boy with club feet back to the United State for surgery.

Sorenson did so, and the boy got the necessary help at a San Bernardino area hospital.

It was one of many noteworthy events in the Banning resident's life.

His motto was: "If anybody can do it, I can do it," said his wife, Norma.
