Winds have forced the closure of the Highway 58 from the ever busy Kramer Junction near Edwards Air Force Base to Tehachapi.
The closure was announced about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol made the decision to close the area because the winds, measured at between 65 to 70 miles an hour, were beginning to kick up dirt and sand, limiting visibility, said Terri Kasina, Caltrans spokeswoman.See the full content of this document
