Larry St. John's angry letter ("Four more years,' Larry St. John, Dec. 14), calling the majority of Americans "idiots' for voting for President Bush and Dick Cheney is him practicing his right of free speech to vent his disappointment for his candidate's loss.
However, St. John failed to state that the Democrats simply did not have a candidate. To be in the minority, whether voting for Kerry of any other candidate listed on the ballots is an American's right as a citizen. The Democrat's candidate jumped on what the media thought were each day's issues. The president was consistent, disciplined and worked each stop with fervor, taking no votes for granted.
