Summary
As a Democrat, I am for history books that include triumphs of all individuals who faced hardships - with a sentence at the very end that mentions, in passing, whether they were African American, American Indian, Latino, autistic, and maybe a sexual orientation or two. But, I am not in favor of the stunt a California senator is trying to pull (re: "Panel OKs textbooks noting gay contributions,'' Associated Press, May 4).
Sen. Sheila Kuehl, D-Santa Monica, is fighting a war of telling Christians "how to think," in response to the former generation telling gays "how to live." Kuehl does not speak for all Democrats.See the full content of this document
