LOMA LINDA - Few people have managed to turn their lives around so completely as did Alfred Martin, who, through 30 years with Alcoholics Anonymous, helped others get the same opportunities he received.

''He said his main object in life was to make sure that every alcoholic had as good of a break as he did. He wanted me to carry that on to help every person who came in seeking help,'' said a friend, Robert Jenkins of Redlands.
