LOMA LINDA - The City Council has taken the first step toward closing the "revolving door."

The council voted narrowly Tuesday night to move forward with an ordinance to bar former city officials from lobbying the city on behalf of projects for two years after leaving their positions. The prohibition would be twice as long as state law requires.
