Homeless Man Found Too Late

The details of the events of that night are few. What is known is that Taylor, 44, built a campfire to stave off the evening chill sometime before 11 p.m.

Shortly after the campfire roared to life, Taylor was engulfed in flames.

By the time an evening security guard at a Cherry Avenue truck stop extinguished the blaze, Taylor had burns over 60 percent of his body, including his head and abdomen. He managed to tell a police officer that his name was Mike Taylor before a breathing tube was inserted to keep his throat from swell...
