Summary
Aug. 1, 2006, was the first time Rialto participated in National Night Out. There were six neighborhoods recognized for the outstanding work they have performed in their areas. My neighborhood was one of those chosen, and it felt wonderful to be recognized for this.
There was also a City Council meeting the same night. We knew about this National Night out for five weeks, as I'm sure the council did. They chose not to participate in National Night Out to do things within the council.
