In July, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced on television that negotiations with four Native American tribes had resulted in an agreement that will give the state more than $9 billion of tribal gambling profits over the next 20 years. In exchange, the state will allow the four tribes to increase their gambling devices inventory.
