Crystal and Joseph Scott fled the devastation wreaked by Hurricane Katrina in September, arriving in Ontario after they heard from family that Loveland Church was helping survivors like themselves get back on their feet.

After a two-day trip on a Greyhound bus, the couple ended up with next to nothing. Volunteers from the church and the American Red Cross found them, and offered assistance.
