Summary


The Sun columnist Conor Friedersdorf refers to illegal immigrants as a "disease'' (re: "Bush's solution amounts to bad medicine for the U.S.'' July 22). Friedersdorf's analogy that Bush's guest worker program is "a bloodletting application of leeches to their torsos to bleed illegal immigrants from our borders,'' is pretty sick.

Why does The Sun permit such racist provocation? Why not write about the hundreds of women forced into slave labor and prostitution, and who are oftentimes raped and murdered exiting the sweat-shop factories owned by American corporations?
