As a leader in an increasingly globalized world, the United States faces many international economic challenges. We need fair- trade policies, not free trade, which has been proven time and time again to take away jobs from hardworking American workers, while getting CEOs rich at the hands of cheap foreign labor.
Only through fair and reasonable policies will everyone, from consumers to workers to business owners, be able to truly reap the rewards of the global market. Unfortunately, all too often our leaders speak about the importance of good jobs here at home, but then support policies that lead to increased outsourcing of jobs overseas.
